writing television sitcoms
How many sides need a script for a sitcom pilot?

I've been writing feature-length screenplays and hour-long TV episodes for years, so I plan for the minute-per-page rule of thumb that says to me about 22 pages for half hour turns out to allow time for 8 minutes of commercials, told but I have also been a sitcom pilot or episode should be as long as 40 pages. This is my first sitcom script so if anyone out there with sitcom writing experience, please let me know. Thanks …

I did a class last semester on this and as I remember the film scripts are simple distance amounts to a minute a page, while TV scripts are double spacing is 30 seconds for each page. I think you look at those 40 pages.

And with cable and satellite television costing anywhere from $65-$150 a month (more if you count premium movie channels) many people are making their television sets the first part of their homes to get the ax. But what if there was a way to enjoy thousands of television channels, including hard to find international shows and sports programming, and never pay another monthly cable bill again?
