Help me with this Film question? Science Fiction and Sci-fi?

Hi guys, I have the research, I don’t want people to give me the answer, just a guide line in what to talk in the essay, possibly help me break it down, need to do 3,000.
Can you tell me how many words to write in each section, please break it down.

Here is the question!

1) Science fiction has a rich and varied set of cultural and historical traditions. With reference to at least two different film and/or television texts discuss the evolution of Science Fiction as a genre. You should consider its literary origins as well as discussing how science fiction is a lens through which to view the social, political and technological progress and anxiety.

I would try to break it down roughly half history and half analysis of what Science Fiction portrays. However you will end up dividing your material by what you have the most information on. I would spend way too much time on how in the 60’s the plethora of Martian movies showed how we (US in my case) feared being invaded by the USSR.
You will probably want to spend much more of your paper focusing on current films.

In today’s rocky economic climate, most households are cutting back wherever they can. And with cable and satellite television costing anywhere from $65-$150 a month (more if you count premium movie channels) many people are making their television sets the first part of their homes to get the ax. But what if there was a way to enjoy thousands of television channels, including hard to find international shows and sports programming, and never pay another monthly cable bill again?
