Sharp LC-32SB24U Television?
We just bought a Sharp LC-32SB24U Television a couple months ago believing it to be DTV compatible. However when we came home and set it up it would not work without an antenna and recently one of the TV stations was running a DTV check where they broadcast digital waves instead of analog and our TV failed to receive the signal.
I am not good with technology and was just wondering if someone could look at it to tell me whether or not it works with DTV or not. Please and thank you.
If I need an external antenna does that mean that I need to get a digital converter box?
Yes, you have a digital tuner, but you do not have a built in antenna. You must have ’something’ to input a signal to the TV. This means an external antenna, if you are close enough to transmitter to receive a strong signal, or cable or satellite (preferably HD service!). You will also need a component or HDMI cable to go to your TV.
No external signal to feed to your TV = no TV service (signal).
The last of NTSC broadcasting in the USA, watch it on a 1972 Zenith COLOR TV!
In today’s rocky economic climate, most households are cutting back wherever they can. And with cable and satellite television costing anywhere from $65-$150 a month (more if you count premium movie channels) many people are making their television sets the first part of their homes to get the ax. But what if there was a way to enjoy thousands of television channels, including hard to find international shows and sports programming, and never pay another monthly cable bill again?
